Improve your concentration and increase your energy

For years, professional and amateur athletes have used food as fuel. . . to help their bodies perform at the highest levels. And while most of us will never be confused with elite athletes, there are strategies we can learn from their eating habits that can help us in our daily lives.

Eating strategies to maintain your energy levels include eating a balance of complex carbohydrates, emphasizing vegetables, lean proteins and healthy fats. A healthy snack between breakfast and lunch can also help. Plan your days and your meals to avoid eating junk.

Watch our interview of Olympic medalist, Debbie Meyer and hear her talk about her experiences of eating while training as well as how she eats now.
