Beating Childhood Obesity
Adults are not the only ones who suffer from weight problems in today's fast-paced world. A large number of America's children and teens are over the recommended weight. Unlike adults who can restrict calories to lose weight, children's need for nutrition to support growing bodies is very different.
Helping kids develop healthier food and lifestyle choices
Get up off the couch and take a cue from kids who are digging deep to improve their health and fitness! There are things that can be done to help kids learn to make healthier choices - and it can be fun! The Sutter Health Pediatric Lifestyle Program (Sacramento) teaches kids about healthy eating and exercise. It also teaches kids about positive thinking and self-respect.
